The earliest written mention of Ohrobec dates from a document issued by Charles IV in 1355. Ohrobec became an independent municipality in 1922 after separating from Zvole. The village has a stone bell tower dating from 1868 and a memorial to an American pilot whose aircraft crashed there on 16 April 1945.
