A Prague florist delivers flowers to Čisovice
Čisovice lies about 24 km south of Prague. It borders Mníšek pod Brdy, and the settlement of Bojov is also part of the municipality. The Bojovský potok flows through the municipality and forms a valley edged by Dešiny Forest.
The first written record of Čisovice dates to 1037, when Prince Břetislav I gave the local beekeepers to the Ostrov monastery. The historic part of Čisovice is dominated by a chapel built in 1854. The cultural centre in the village centre occupies the former municipal school building, built in 1863 by builder František Zelenka. The primary school in Čisovice provides first-stage education, and the nursery is housed in a newer building attached to the school.
