Flower delivery in Jinočany from a local florist

The municipality of Jinočany lies about 14 km southwest of central Prague. The Prague Ring Road crosses the municipality, and exit 21 is located within it. The municipality has a primary school, a nursery school and a health centre.

The first written mention of Jinočany appears in the 1406 urbarium of Břevnov Monastery. Iron ore was mined at the Škroby mine from 1856 to 1964, and mining contributed to the municipality’s rapid growth at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The chapel in Jinočany, built in 1903, was originally also intended for local firefighters and, after its restoration, is also used for weddings and civic ceremonies.
